If there’s one song I really think has all the best qualities of early 80s hard rock, it’s this one. I don’t have a lot more to say about it, I feel it speaks best for itself.

Week 4: Genesis – Driving the Last Spike
In 1992 I visited my relatives in Wuppertal, Germany. On that trip I bought my very first portable CD player, and the first CD I bought and listened to was Genesis’ album We Can’t Dance. Of all the great tracks on that album, Driving the Last Spike was my favorite since the first time I heard it. Since then, I’ve discovered a lot of older Genesis albums, but none of them bring back as many memories and as much nostalgia as We Can’t Dance.
Week 3: Savant – Kali 47
This week has been crunch time at work, meaning I’ve listened to a lot of high energy electronic music. When I’m looking for something a little extra fun my go to artist at the moment is Savant. This track has a nice break in the middle which makes it extra effective.
Week 2: Robbie Williams – Let Me Entertain You
Back at work for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I felt the need for something upbeat and high energy. I have always liked this song.
Week 1: The Prodigy – Skylined
I tried to think of a great song to start of this whole project with, and it took me some time to arrive where I did. I wanted something that I really like, but not just anything. So I decided on what I consider to be one of the best songs from one of the greatest bands of the 90s.
