Some songs just stick with you the very first time you hear them, and this was one of those songs for me. I’m not a huge acoustics fan, but this rendition of a song that’s also very good in its original version is one I keep coming back to time and time again.

Week 8: System of a Down – Chop Suey!
Anytime I get in a bad mood it really helps to listen to this track. It’s a very cathartic experience for me. I think it’s the fantastic combination of total mayhem and the melodic, calming, piano part towards the end. Amazing songwriting and great execution equals one happy me!
Week 7: Meat Loaf – I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)
I wanted something appropriate seeing as today is Valentine’s Day, and immediately thought of this track which I listen to on a regular basis. It has a lot of great qualities, and I definitely consider it one of the greatest tracks ever recorded.
I can readily admit–as one might have noticed–that I’m a sucker for long bombastic tracks that keeps building up as it progresses.
Week 6: Danny Elfman – Alice’s Theme
Apart from music, another big interest of mine is movies. Naturally, music in movies is also something I’m very much into. I have a few favorite composers, one being Danny Elfman (I know, shocking, right!?). Of all the music mr. Elfman has composed, Alice’s Theme from Alice in Wonderland is one of the tracks I consider to be absolutely amazing.
